Never been to one of these, what's it like and is it worth it?

Ill be going but the cost irks me. I dont need people performing etc. Id rather they were like they used to be. Big Jumble sales, and not £7, when all the vendors are paying a lot to be there too.

Not this year - I've had a stand every year for the last 9 I think but it's time for a rest.

Does anyone know how the "trading" works on the day?

I've got stuff I'd like to shift and even more stuff I'd like to buy?

Is there a particular stand for trading?

ill be going, its usually a pretty good day out and a few bargains to pick up here and there.. not noticed any "trading" stands specifically for that reason in the past, think the individual dealers do trades on their stands and such..

@impmann were you there? There was a very nice bronze Singer Chamois in the car park.

  • There some nice guitars there but also quite a lot of shite. And a few fakes knocking about.

    What fakes did you see?

  • A les Paul standard, a Paisley telecaster and big bodied gretsch. To be fair they were all labled as not being originals but still...

I couldn't see Nigel Crinson despite doing two or more circuits of the show. Was he there and if so where?

I was pretty disappointed really, one stand a lot like the next... I expected a bit more than a market, some of the live stuff was good, some meh.... I don't think I'll go again

I didn't go. First one in about 15 years I've missed and it feels great.

first time I've been, was just a load of guitars in some rooms :)...oh and a wildly optimistic guy trying to flog a flexible jack attachment to stop you pulling it out when standing on your lead.
