Just turn your pick by 30 degrees and dig in for the lead/drive tones. If you want Tremolo or chorus - Vibrato those notes like hell...

I hardly ever use pedals anymore, I usually keep a fulltone fatboost in my gig bag incase but usually it's just a tuner. So much easier once you get used to it.

Only requires earplugs to complete :).

Not in a bad way really, but I can just imagine the top-end response at volume...

^ Matchless amps always seem to fatten up when cranked to my ears.

I still maintain the DC30 is the best sounding amp I've ever played through - there are plenty of others I've liked 'something' about more - but none that I'd rather have as a 'one amp' solution.

I wish I'd bought one when the were only exorbitant....

This one is actually fairly dark.. I also roll the tone down a touch on the telecaster, keeps it a bit more controllable.

The only one I've played through at volume was a Phoenix (2-EL34). It wasn't *that* cutting, but it was extremely 'present', and by God it was loud… easily the loudest 35W I've ever heard - and that was with an all-mahogany PRS. With a Tele I imagine it would be much brighter.

I've learnt with Matchless that the tone controls are extremely sensitive and I start from zero rather than '5'. Once you get the sweet spot for a gigging volume you can keep it there and it'll sound great every time. I love my Clubman!

Only pedals I use: wah, dist, chorus, delay, tuner, boost (most important)

I once played a 4 hour wedding with a Super Reverv RI, Keeley Katana boost and a 335

    No one gave a fuck

Drummist friend of mine travelled 200 miles to a big function gig without his snare stand this past weekend. Oh how we all ribbed him on basefook.
