Finally bought a PRS - i've wanted one for ages & am very pleased to finally have taken the plunge.

It's Custom 22 with:

Dragon II pups - 3 way with push/pull on the tone

Wide Thin neck

The rest you can see in the pictures.

Obviously not a 10 top but I do like the way it looks in Amber. Very smooth to play and the fit and finish is fantastic. 

The pickups are nice - balance well, tap well and handle gain very well. 

*I hope you like the chair - it's the only thing I've got that fits nicely with the usual PRS stereotypes.

Amber is a great colour for a PRS. That looks great and who cares about the lack of 10 top. It looks lovely.

That looks gorgeous! Lovely indeed - congrats.

I'm a recent convert to all things PRS though never tried a CU22/24 myself though i'm a massive fan of the McCarty and DGT, along with the Mira/Starla. Always fancied an early CE too. Must see what i'm missing with the CU's......

Birds and flame, I know what you mean

If I was going to get a flamey, birdsy PRS this would be the exact sort of thing I'd be after though.

Lovely guitar - and before the positive comments turn into slagging them off for being sterile, too flashy, rubbish cases, etc - I maintain they are simply excellent instruments.

Only kidding about the dentist thing, seems like a good time to be buying PRS to be honest!  If you do post some sound clips in the future I'd certainly be interested in hearing what it sounds like, which is the thing I'd judge a guitar by, assuming stays in tune and so on, which I've no doubt it will.

That top looks as good as my 10 top CU22. So it's a bit hard to define how a 10 is judged. They are lovely guitars. I have mine fitted with a JJ Guitars/Bare Knuckle Free way switch which has an extra tier & there fore 6 sounds. Has become my main guitar in my new band. It does come in a shit case though. Nice !  Looks the business.  I nearly got a lovely amber McCarty, which I always regret (went back to the shop and it had been snapped up by someone else)

Why do people call PRSs flashy and yet Les Pauls are usually described as tasteful?

At least PRS don't have a load of cheap looking white plastic binding all over them.

I like that guitar.
