  • I actually like that finish. And is a good spec

QC is apparently shocking on them though. Just read the Thomann reviews and they tend to agree

    Shame

That's one of the nicest-looking Les Pauls I've ever seen irrespective of price. I'd have one, assuming a good guitar shop who would weed out any duds for me.

I don't mean weed out the duds for me. I specifically wouldn't want the duds.

I really like the Sig t model, not sure about the colour (i hate white les Paul's ) but at that price a refinish wouldn't be out of the question for the right guitar.

I'd much rather take the edwards custom in the classifieds

It has the major advantage of no silly 12th fret inlay and no horrible squiggle.

I actually quite like the colour.

Mine is lovely, a perfect mix of features for me. I don't like the white finish on the linked one, but that's a hell of a guitar for the money.

I'm not a lover of the whiteburst on that link, but it's a cracking price. Hadn't looked at the sig T before but seems pretty close to a "proper" LP. The translucent wine red finish on them looks bloody lovely! The only used T going on eBay at the moment is over a grand, so you might not even lose out if you grab one and don't like it!

Also not a lover of the white burst but might be a nice project

Can't remember which forum member coined it, but I believe the correct name for this colour is "jizzburst".

I like the finish and if I wasn't sorted LP-wise I'd be all over it.

Less than £800 for a new LP? No brainer in my book.

The sig T's are great. Nice Lester with binding for £800. Great deal for sure (shame I'm not looking for another Gibson!)

Shame it looks utterly, utterly horrible.

    Each to their own.

Not usually a big fan of white guitars, but I quite like the white finish/cream guard combo.

Would have to stick some covers on those p'ups though... or swap them out for some zebras.
Can't be doing with uncovered black humbuckers.

I would be grateful if someone could please explain what Gibson means by

    1. "traditional weight relief"
    2. "traditional body rout"
    3. "modern weight relief".

If I am looking for an LP Standard/Studio, I would want one which is solid (like they were originally made), and has not been excavated by a JCB digger, or have the mahogany body drilled out with cavities.

I understand that these guitars are beyond my budget, but what should I be looking for?
