    Hell yeah! :D

Pretty much had it all going on there. Dragons a-go-go, a Dothraki horde and an epic battle, very intense and quite claustrophobic (although it was obvious how it would end).

Sansa at the end was cool in a sadistic kind of way, her time with Baelish and Ramsay seems to have influenced her in a not very nice way. Evil Sophie Turner, not exactly complaining ;)

I wonder if the finale will try and top that, or go in a more predictive set-up for the next season?

The obvious way is the mirror to this.  No real character loss here (beyond the obv) despite two humungous great battles, so clearly...

Less destruction and more deaths then?

Cersei is gonna do some damage I'd say.

What's gan on with Brann, Samwell, The Hound and indeed Varys?

I'd say the last episode will be another great episode but it'll be hard to beat this one.

Varys' mission to go off and find boats seems to have been rendered redundant with the arrival of the very folks he went off to find?

    Hhhmmmm, really?

Dunno, that random red witch would be an odd move without more next week.

    Ahh, forgot about her.

And of course the whole Bran "meeting" the White King.

    Many pissabolities on offer.

Yeah, plenty of Wildfire and White Walkers next week I'd imagine.

Great episode. The bit with Jon Snow getting trampled/crushed was uncomfortable viewing

Definitely! I was actually squirming in my seat in frustration, I think!

My missus spent the battle with a scarf over her head , peeking through a small gap coz she thought Jon Snow was going to get it.

Great episode though, and one of the best battle scenes I've seen

...not sure I'm trusting Sansa anymore though , seems to have  gone a bit shifty .

Poor old Sansa- all those years of fan hatred for being the naive little princess, then when she starts to show some backbone everyone thinks she's gone bad. If anyone deserved to get grisly revenge on Ramsay Bolton and enjoy it just a bit it's Sansa.

I think she'll be torn between Jon and Littlefinger, but I have no doubt which way she'll ultimately go.

I wonder if they can fit all of that in to one episode. We might have seen the last of The Hound, Bran and Sam until next year I reckon. At most I expect they'll get short but revealing scenes. Plot-wise revealing, not man-parts revealing.

Benjen and Bran appear back at the wall?

I'm also interested to find out what Qyburn's been investigating.

POTENTIAL SPOILER: In the books (which are a looong way off the show now), Varys turns up unexpectedly in King's Landing around the time the white raven (seen in the preview) arrives from the Citadel to officially announce the beginning of winter. He and his little birds kill two of the characters most responsible for keeping things in King's Landing from going to shit.

His reasons for doing so revolve around another character that the show seems to have decided not to feature at all, but more importantly they're designed to destabilize the existing monarchy in anticipation of an invasion designed to reinstate the Targaryens to the Iron Throne....

Great episode. Battle scene was immense. Not sure about Sansa's smile at the end though....

"You can't kill me, I'm inside you." - Ramsey Bolton

...and, given the smile, he might be right.
Not much of the gear, even less idea.

Just watched it again with MrsF. Still brilliant. Best battle/fight thing ever filmed? SURELY they'll get a bunch of Emmys for it?

Just watched it, blimey that battle was intense stuff! What a great episode. I did keep saying to my wife that there would be a last minute reprise for Jon Snow's army ....it had a lot of echoes of the elves arriving at Helms Deep. The giant getting killed was very sad though. :(

  • One thing though, in the Winterfell dungeon how did Sansa know the dogs had been starved for a week? Ramsay only said that after she'd ridden off stating he'd die tomorrow?

We never heard Jon's answer to her "where is he?" after the battle. I'm assuming the response was "tied to a chair in the dungeon. His dogs haven't eaten in 7 days, apparently..."

My god that was a good episode. Loved the scene too with Danerys and Yara.

I am really looking forward to starting the entire show again from the beginning when this series finishes.
