Being as there's interested parties, here's the other milk painted Tele.  It's seafoam-ish (the shade is Eulalie's Sky from the link earlier) and I had a harder time getting even coverage with this paler shade.  It looks fine, but there are one or patches that didn't "take" quite as well (the body is alder, just for the record), and have come through slightly yellowish...I could probably have done with another sample bag to do another coat or two.  I do still love the shade, though...

Don't paint it - it looks the mutt's. Just some sort of lightly tinted/ aged finish. The Wudtone stuff looks quite good and no need for spraying - hurrah! My Japanese Tele is finished with Poly lacquer and it just feels so................plastic. It's never going to naturally relic - it's like it's made from re-constituted cockroach. I don't want to take it back to the wood 'cos it's basswood so I'm looking at getting a swamp ash body and going for a natural finish. I was originally going to go for a butterscotch blond nitro but  I popped into GAK at the weekend and all of the butterscotch tele's they had on the wall just looked wrong/ unnatural. That included the AV52 re-issue and the Road Worn series. I'm definitely going for an amber-ish natural finish along the lines of Springsteen's tele when I find an ash body I like.

Put together another tele, and paint that one!

    You're welcome. ;)
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

White blonde, that's what mines going next. But as above I'll be putting another one together from the spare body....

I'd love to have a little more of his guitar style in my own playing, I've gotta say... he's one hell of a player.

I'm aware I'm making a lot of noise about him on here recently as well, but I only started listening to the Toy Dolls a couple of days ago and I'm bowled over, particularly by the guitar playing.

Shell Pink is seriously cool for a maple-neck Tele as well. Or Candy Tangerine.
