Paid the most money for my motorbike... but that's seen better days so I guess my PC.

And that's not that expensive - I feel poor.

    Adopt me, someone rich!

My house doesn't count as I still have a mortgage on it, but if I were to sell my possessions I suspect the most valuable would be the Gretsch. It's certainly more valuable than my car, but that says more about the car than it does about the guitar.

The most expensive thing in my house is my daughter as I'm sure anyone who has kids would agree (but worth every penny)

  • Lots of interesting items! I guess most valuable would be a good question as well! Because that's much different than expensive...

  • If not my house, then I suspect one of {a guitar, a hifi component, an instrument amplifier, my van*} in monetary terms. However if the house was burning down I'd rescue the cat first (if she hadn't already legged it)

    * yes I know it's a heap of junk but it's an expensive heap of junk
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself

By suggesting she's the most expensive thing you imply she has a monetary value, as though you're pimping her out... which I'm told is frowned upon

Still a few years to go on fhe mortgage and I'm off expensive cars for the moment, so.... I make it my Harris/Yamaha single cylinder race bike. Didn't cost a fortune to buy/build (rolling chassis bought second hand adapted to take the motor from the MuZ Skorpion I'd ripped the headstock off in an unplanned tyrewall/motorcycle interface scenario at Lydden...) but the 8 years or so of continual development it went through absorbed money at a rate best not thought about too carefully :-)
Don't ask me, I just play the damned thing...

My laptop I suppose. I didn't pay for it though. Other than that, my bed I think.
    My V key is broken

just because you don't, doesn't mean you can't

Most valuable most valuable! In example, your joke I didn't get at first. You said the wife was expensive, not valuable - which in hindsight, is most amusing.

My shit hat might be my most valuable... but it's actual value was 7 euro's.

in that case everybodies response ought to be the same, or pretty damn close.

    Their (their spouse/families) health.

I wouldn't class my better half as an item. Not unless I wanted a black eye!

  • If you were to include shipping from Eastern Europe then it would have to be my wife.

Especially as they sent a heavier model than I had paid for.

If it's a "collection" of items, my mobile disco rig is worth about £4k, but then, I paid more for my kitchen than that.

If it's a single item, my missus's engagement ring was a blooming fortune - eventually she'll throw it at me, and I then own it and can sell it and buy an SG.
