[SOLD]Epiphone Les Paul AAA Flame Maple + Suhr Doug Aldrich + .047 PIO caps!!!
This is a very clean Limited Edition Epiphone Les Paul Made in Korea 2001, with a AAA Flame Maple facing and the addition of Suhr Doug Aldrich pickups, CTS pots and .047 KT Russian paper in oil caps. They sound very nice.
I've found it lovely to play with the .047 PIO caps - woody but bright-ish. The neck pickup is very articulate and balanced with lovely highs, and you can pick out any lines easily. The bridge is thicker and more syrupy. Driven they stay defined and never seem to get out of control. Good pups.
The Doug Aldrich Bridge humbucker was designed to be the ultimate pickup for aggressive rock and metal playing styles. The Aldrich pickup offers focused lows, punchy mids and singing highs to cut through the heaviest mix.
The Doug Aldrich Neck humbucker is the perfect complement to the Aldrich bridge pickup. Carefully calibrated for the neck position, the Aldrich neck pickup is warm, clear with exceptional string-to-string balance.
The guitar plays really well. The guitar is slick and easy to play up the very straight neck and easy fingerboard. They're plenty of meat left on the pups.
It also looks immaculate, with a lovely soft tea/amber glow - call it what you like it's a looker.
It's very fairly priced considering the work and the upgrades - that have really worked!

Note that this guitar is in very good condition and the pickups cost both around GBP100.00, the pots and caps around GBP60.00 and you have to add the price of labour to install and setup all this material.
