EDIT: Apologies, images aren't working because somebody's complained about copyright content on my image server and it's been shut down. I'm working on it...

Sorry it's taken me 6 months to get this up here...finally figured out how to take some vaguely decent shots of the body.

Badly-lit shot of the whole thing:

That finish!!!!

No, really...

(sorry for the dust...didn't think the camera would pick it up)

Lovely headstock, with laser-cut aluminium logo:

Just because the wenge grain is beautiful:

Posh neck:

Gotta love that plain wood grain:

Specs:

Swamp ash body / wenge top, driftwood finish (Jaden's own)
5-piece wenge/purpleheart neck
Macassar ebony fretboard + stainless steel frets
Seymour Duncan Little '59s (my new favourite pickups)
Gotoh hardware, gun-metal grey
...and, most importantly, the pickup selector in the right place ;)

Well, that's not a question I expected to be asked, but...yes, they're great. Could stand to be a little lower-profile, I suppose, but I'm not (usually) a great fan of really tall frets. They really do work beautifully on this guitar, though :)

    That looks awesome.

Would absolutely love something like that (provided the neck wasn't too shreddy).

    That's beautiful.

I'm a real sucker for a wenge neck as well, my bass has one and it's just such a lovely-feeling wood.

    :)

It's actually not a thin, shreddy neck like my Series 2. Mind you, it's not as fat as a normal Tele, either.

I played that 5 months ago! You have well and truly failed in your responsibilities to the Fretboard.

It's a bloody lovely guitar tho!

I know, I know...it plays much better now, because I'd screwed up the setup before the show in Birmingham (trying to improve it...utter fail).

I remember having a play on that in Birmingham. It's a beautiful piece of work and immaculately built. But that skinny neck and the position of the pickup selector...

See, I don't think it's that skinny. I guess I'm comparing it to my Series 2, which is really skinny.

And I'm sorry, but you're wrong. The pickup selector is in exactly the right place :D

Cheers.  I don't like really tall frets either, partly why I'm interested in SS if I ever need a guitar refretted (which might be my strat in the next year or two at this rate).

Yeah I think the selector looks in a good place, out of the way while playing but within reach.

The original Tele control plate is a frustrating design if you switch from bridge to neck often.  There is a company that does a better spaced one though.

That is the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen, and the body silhouette is an inspiration. I agree about the switch separation, although I would prefer to have it at the tail end of the controls

I don't see it on the website.

Is he planning to do it as a production model?

I could imagine it would open up a whole new market segment to him.

Nope, no plans to make it a production model - although I've been telling him it'd be quite popular for a while...

I do have another one in the works, which is much less "fancy" - that might see a bit more traction.

Would the eight people who've posted in this thread before me care to explain exactly why they have not wowed the OP?!

Is there a fault with the forum software?!
