Do your homework, I found it a funny market because no one knows a lot about them, I don't think they will sell as easily as a gibson unfortunately.

Yeah I understand your point but his mark up is explained precisely because people don't know a lot about the guitars. You're paying a few hundred quid extra to ensure you don't make a mistake that could potentially cost you more.

Like yourself, I'm more likely to do my own research and roll the dice, but not everybody has the time nor inclination. 

The premium you pay could also be justified by the amount of time some guitars hang around on his website, doesn't sound like much of a steady income! 

I would also be inclined to go Blue Chip and buy a Gibson.
