Vintage Fender 1962 Jaguar, please read full description

I purchased the original 1962 neck and body from a dealer i know in California, the body and the headstock were refinished when i brought them to an Olympic White finish which has aged pretty nicely over time.
All the parts are brand new apart from the original shielding in the pickup and switch cavitys and the string tree.

Please check out the spec below, this is one awesome sounding guitar and it plays great. Currently setup with D'addario 11-49's and stays in tune really well even when using the tremolo arm.

* Original 1962 slab board neck "B" Profile as per the neck stamp, frets have been levelled and dressed and have plenty of life left in them, they are the original frets.

* Although the headstock on the neck has an old refinish, the back of the neck has not been touched so its feels nice and worn in.

* Original 1962 Body with the old refinish as picture

* Mojo 62/64 Jaguar Pickups - Absolutely ace vintage correct sounding pickups and the best i've tried, very punchy and articulate. Jangly just how they should be.

* Mojo Pickups full vintage spec wiring harness including Mojo Paper in oil capacitors and fender usa brand new switches, pots and sliders.

* Fender USA Vintage Reissue Tuners, knobs and pickguard.

* Crazyparts aged vintage spec neckplate.

* Dunlop Straplocks

* Fender USA Chrome Control plates, tremolo unit, arm and bridge

* Also i will include a brand new packaged set of Allparts mustang saddles.

I think that pretty much covers everything but please e-mail if you have any questions.

I will ship the guitar to the EU but please contact me for an exact quote.

  • Why did you go to all the (lovely)  trouble, but not use the trem unit with a lock?

  • its a great playing and sounding guitar, nothing beats that old wood and the brazilian slab board :-)

i'm just thinning down my guitars and also will be listing a 61 gibson sg reissue in cherry 2001 and a epiphone john lennon revolution casino, the good old limited run ones with the nice thin laquer. I've owned both these since 2001, the epi has had a neck repair done by colin keefe in long eaton who used to work alongside patrick eggle building his guitars. The repair is top class and has provided no issues at all

any pics of the neck heel?
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.
