You won't hear me go off on one that often but EG is just aarrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhh.... annoying and she takes up entire verses and choruses with the same lines!

Edit: want to hear a cutesy voice, try Bjork or early Rickie Lee Jones' stuff. The latters "Pop Pop" album with Robben Ford on gut strung guitar is just wonderful.

I quite enjoyed "Starry Eyed" which was her first single and I've listened to her first album which I thought was pleasant if not overly memorable.

I suspect many people don't like her because of the Christmas advert song she did which I didn't have to suffer as a non TV watching person.

Every time we are forced to endure her on the BBC's Glastonbury coverage she's always out of tune and jumping around like an eegit.....and yes that drag queenesque girly voice is thoroughly awful to boot.

I liked that, and I like the original too. I quite like the album, although I agree it's a bit lightweight.

'I Need Your Love' (Calvin Harris admittedly, with her on vocals) was one of my favourite records of last year though. Not quite so keen on 'Burn', the first verse is a bit irritating.

Haven't heard it yet but I understand she's covered a Waterboys track (one of my favorite bands) for Children in Need. There was an acoustic version of Starry Eyed I remember quite liking, but nothing much since.

she's not alone tho,   there are two or three like it  ......  they sound like theyve got permanent auto-tune on their voices..........  in a Cher - "I Believe" way
