Yeah I'm fully aware. Fender are also known to vary their neck pocket depths and heel thickness. I've experienced this first hand when I damaged my Bajas neck and quickly replaced it with a MIM standard and whilst adjusting it to my preference the bridge and depth did in fact cause a few issues.

My main point was more if you're wanting a decent wedge for this guitar one like an FSR should be in original condition to command a premium price.

My other point was the original serial number etc is gone which as you know is very important for a guitar, even if it is just a fancy mim.

It'd a shame but people do lose out on parts and upgrades it's just the nature of the market.

To be fair the original serial is still in a body cavity somewhere, but who cares? It's only a 4 year-old Mexi Tele - not like it's PRS Private Stock or late-50's Gibson...

When I was hoping to buy it, I must admit I saw the Baja neck as a massive upgrade, the Hiscox is a £95 bonus and the Mojo pickups are way ahead of stock Fender ones. So basically it looks like a bargain to me. I know what you mean about mods @zenzeypher, but we're not talking leather scratchplates and bling knobs, all of the changes to this one are well thought out improvements not personalisation. But each to their own and all that.

Maybe this would have been nicer in PMs though, save destroying Mr Fiddle's thread

Sticky has been around for a long time and has a good reputation for buying selling. If he says it's fine then I'd beleive him.

Yeah, absolutely. My sister sends stuff round the country for a living and kindly has volunteered to pack up and sort out shipping if required

And its a thick-necked Telecaster in a Hiscox so I'm not AT ALL worried about damage

Try living somewhere all the guitar shops are shite and getting anything imported costs a fortune. I've only bought 2 guitars in 3 years, and and sold 2 as well. Not too bad, I have to say.
