    @jonnyurq - A few years ago, I worked the bar for a small acoustic Hazel O'Connor gig. She played a few songs and told stories about the punk years. She was fantastic, and extremely nice. She even gave a little shout out to the bloke behind the bar who was clearly getting into it.

    @DeeTee

    Lucky bugger, I never got to meet her but saw her in her heyday when supporting the Stranglers (her and Hugh were smack fiends and shagging).

    Huge Stranglers, Hazel O'Connor and Breaking Glass fan.

    I've never actually cried over a song IIRC, but some that give me "dem feels":

    Dire Straits - Tunnel of Love
    Dream Theater - Space Dye Vest
    Queen - We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions and Bohemian Rhapsody, but more for some still-very-powerful memories associated with them than the songs themselves.
    Type O Negative - Everything Dies
    - "I'm going to write a very stiff letter. A VERY stiff letter. On cardboard."

    No one here will know this one. A fantastic piano piece called 'song for josiah' by Keith green, written for his young son. They both died in a plane crash that Keith was piloting. He was a Christian artist and a very emotional singer.

    Good call and RLJ's 'Pop Pop" album is another goodie. She has so much emotion in her voice and there's some wonderful jazz-guitar playing on a gut strung by Robben Ford.

    I can't even listen to either of these anymore, honestly.  Ordinarily I do not like cover versions but these two are incredible.
