I don't know him but he sounds like a splendid fellow and quite a rare one too ! It's nice to see you champion his cause because there are very few like him and he is one of the relatively few but the spiel about acting as a rescue service to correct East Europeans work is simply apocryphal .......I'm sure he has corrected the odd issue but it isn't the rule of thumb .

Actually, thinking about it...what happens if it's a draw? :D
    Penalty shoot out?

Fuck yes. Only a proper shootout with guns. Everybody wins.

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

It sounds like a coincidence, possibly a ratings earner too, but you'd have to be one of the more 'tin foil hat' in the Leave campaign to read too much into it imho.

I know the argument about our people work etc...but all those ex pat pensioners in Spain are getting free healthcare which is arguably (statistics vary) paid for by poor Spain.

    statistics don't vary on this

The UK Dept of Health gets a monthly itemised bill for all the healthcare cost of the Uk pensioners in Spain
Along with the services and goods the pensioners purchase in Spain, this is a massive boost to the Spanish economy

One of the Polish guys I work with is one of the laziest, most vindictive cunts I've ever met. He'll go out of his way to do less work, and he loves telling porkies to get people in trouble.

Has anyone considered the ethics of stripping out all the skilled people from another country?

People continuously talk about how great it is that the NHS is helped by migrants

These will all be migrants whose home country paid to train up, and we steal them away to avoid training our own people to do the jobs

Same applies to any profession - it is immoral really to emasculate these poorer states by stealing their most productive and valuable citizens

    We didn't steal them.
    They come here voluntarily.

But a brain drain is a significant problem for developed countries too- Australia, for example, is lacking people to work in medical research, tech, nursing because these people can make more money abroad.
Also Australia's poor performance in the Olympics since 2000 has been put down to the coaching staff being poached to go and work in the US, Russia, China and other places.
