My fear is that in the event that a referendum on the terms of leave could conceivably reverse the exit, it would ruin the countrys standing in both the EU and elsewhere. The other 27 are in no mood to massage our egos since we already had special status with no Euro, exceptions to the free movement and exceptions to the refugee resettlement. We had already been granted every reasonable (in the EUs eyes) exception practical and still thought we were better than that.
If we crawl back now the nation will be a laughing stock (you know like Boris or Nigel already are).
I am not enamoured of the result, but we need to spit on out collective hankies and rub the poorly bit, then run back into the playground and get on with it. Any scar will be characture building!

You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave..

But don't for one minute dare say that the EU are a bunch of bullying controlling bastards. The benevolent EU have form on this in Austria and Greece, so will no doubt do the same again. And expect us to be thankful.

    Chamberlin would have voted remain.

The saddest thing is the so-called socialists at work decrying democracy and the working people. Socialism is for snobs these days as they side with big banks, big business, and big government.
The two most militant socialists I know both voted leave and are taking a "fuck it, burn it all" approach to the downturn in the markets.

While thats probably the ideologically purest position to take I find it really smug how little of a shit they seem to give that a downturn in the economy hits people on the bottom hard too.

Corrected. For their idiocy, not yours!
