Last week I helped a little lad find his mom and dad after he'd spewed his carvery up all over the loos at the pub. Poor little fella was very emotional. :( What a scene of carnage.

Here's a place to bung stories, recite events, moments, achievements etc that seriously made you feel awesome..

    so.. to start..
today I went shopping for the weekly food etc…
I'm at the checkout bagging my stuff up and chatting to the girlie about any old stuff
then she said "so are you a personal trainer or something??"
I'm like "what??? what makes you think that?"
she said, " 'cause you smell all sweaty an' shit"

..smelled all the way tae the car park

this clearly indicates that you was actually there..
there's no room for actually telling the truth in tales such as these..

    that's awesome Clarky :)

Mine is that I flew in a Spitfire a couple of months ago. That was definitely awesome.
if we had a cool wall that'd be at the sub-zero end for sure..
must have been an incredible experience..

so… after a few years of eating clean, training quite regular and quite hard
    dropping from a 46" waist to a 32" and dumping almost 5 1/2 stone..
I finally get a comment like that from a total stranger..
smiled all the way to the car park..

Cool, must have been nice that. Can't say I ever met you as a lardy type Paul, but it does have to be said you are kinda fucking buff these days!

Only one I can remember was when I lived and played in Leicester back in the very early 90's, the local jazz-funk-shred hero said I was the only guitarist that worried him - "because you play like you really don't give a fuck". Never did work out if that was a compliment or not ;)

I can only assume "playing like you don't give a fuck" means that you don't hold back and play safe..
to my mind, going for it is the only way I know..
it means I make plenty of mistakes live and studio, but it also means playing 100% with your whole heart and absolute commitment..

Nice one! Have a wow :)

As for me... someone came up to me after one of my old band's gigs once and said my playing reminded him of Plini. I said I'd never heard of him but thanked him anyway. So I go home, and look up Plini...

    Well fuck!

I'm surprised/amazed he thought so, but still very flattered. Makes me smile when I think about it.
Listening to that made me feel awesome. Nice share. (and listening to how good you are at such a young age, Jazz probably beckons at some point). The piano solo was lovley as well.

    Wow awarded @Clarky :D

Probably not in the same league as your story but I helped an old lady back to her flat in the block I live in. In fact she declined someone else's help to get mine instead!

If only the younger and sexier looking laydeez invited me round their place too lol :D
an act of trust… you don't see much of that these days..
don't play it down… it's a far bigger thing than it seems on the surface

    well done clarky.
I've NEVER felt awesome in my entire life - pretty happy being aweless.
Being in awe of yourself is a rather disturbing and scary condition I would think, kinda similar to being humbled - by yourself, and what would the opposite to that be ?.

how about not taking the 'awe' thing literally
and replace it with feeling good about yourself
it is allowed from time to time you know

I remember the first album I appeared on..
    I felt like I was 7' 10"..
my lil' brain was yell "you've only gone and done it"
and then again for my solo album [Shredz]
and seeing my oldest picking up his music degree
these things don't happen often, but when they do it feels sooooo wonderful…

you must have a few tales or achievements that made you feel on top of the world..

Kapow! What a review: Paul Clark and Mick Paul's fretboard work, on guitar and bass respectively, is simply mindblowing
