@Myranda .Be assured that if that was my fantasy I would have completely explored it with gusto by now and I wouldn't feel in the least embarrassed - everybody should be free to express their sexuality without any disapproval of others . I was not aware that Ladyboy was derogatory in any sense as that is what they call themselves and I did not say that there was anything wrong with that in the least - jolly good for them.......makes the world a brighter place. I am puzzled as to why you felt necessary to expand upon your assumption that because I mentioned something TWICE that it was the clue to my deepest fantasy - If I had only mentioned it once would it be only half a fantasy ? I care, not the least, about the subject matter but I think you are a little bit personally rude and presumptious ...........why are you making personal comments when I was talking about a subjective matter .If and when I open a thread to investigate my own sexual psyche please be assurred that I will invite you to the party if you feel the need to make comment.

I think Serena has a magnificent athletic body.........that isn't what I would call in any way bodybuilt but athletically honed to perfection.

I said it because female body builders and post-operative transsexuals are about as far apart as individuals can be but for some reason you brought them into the same conversation... You must have had a reason.

I like apples must be because I like red cars. See, makes no sense, but that was the same as your first post.

And as to whether it's a derogatory terms... Ask yourself is it the Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Ladyboy Alliance or the Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Alliance (OK now the Q and I are sometimes added... But you get the point). I'd even go so far as to say Ladyboy isn't even a Thai word... More what Western men going for sex holidays call them... And when they're advertising it would likely be useful to use the same name so the sex tourists know what they're looking for.

We had The Ladyboys Of Bangkok on tour here. Big marquee in town. That';s the name of the show. Apparently it did quite well.

I find it very weird tbh. The notion of medically creating a new gender, not naturally occuring in a species, is quite a surreal thing.

I understand that plenty of people are transitioning, so its a temporary state, but plenty stay in the "zone" as a choice, apparently

For some it's just not worth the pain. Living as the gender you feel you are is more important.

Oh I get that for sure. Hope I didn't sound judgmental as I was trying to word my post carefully. I absolutely do not judge anyone at all for their sexuality. It is strange, otherworldly almost though to create a new gender for yourself, something that doesn't occur naturally in a species.

Transgender I understand, wanting to shift from one gender to another. But wanting to remain inbetween, or both, is something I find harder to understand. That's not to say I have a problem with it, I dont, but I do find it strange.

What about intersex people who are happy where they are (which is something that does exist in nature BTW.  may only be something like 1 in 1000 but that's still a lot more than none).

Maybe those staying in between are identified as intersex...

Or they're gay men working in the sex trade and know they get more business with no body hair and tits in a country with a LOT of poverty and few social mobility openings

Or maybe they lack finances to finish.

It's very difficult to know their motivation without asking them all.

Also Ladyboys of Bangkok is hardly an exemplar of political correctness, it's essentially a cabaret act. Just like a quick Google finds porn stars advertising themselves as shemale but we know that's a derogatory name...

Gender is non-binary for some people.
I have a friend who was born male, lives as mostly female- has had breast implants but otherwise had no further significant surgical interventions.

Again, nothing judegmental from me, at all, strange is the best word I could find, otherworldly is another, as in these are people who find themselves in a place where they need to create their own physically manufactured gender. It must be so difficult, having to do this to be settled in who you are. If they ever are.

I think it is far removed from being gay, another world entirely, yet they get put together for (often) stereotypical labelling.

Having said that, its so much easier to be different today than it was when many of us were kids. Back in the 70s and 80s you were bullied senseless for being just slightly different to anything within a narrow margin of "normal".

Yes, sexual preference and gender are totally unrelated.
My friend ^^^ above only sleeps with women (as far as I am aware anyway).
For some people this can be fairly fluid as well- for people to identify gender or sexual preference as something fixed simply limits them.
