I didn't know that but it would not surprise me.
On another (Politics based) forum someone said - before the vote - that the "new forum divide" was interesting and had created strange bedfellows, and that it will be strange to return to a Left/Right divide after the Referendum.

But.....on that forum, the new divide is holding. The strange bedfellows (City workers and Bleeding Heart Liberals on the same side) is holding.
Now that is interesting.

I long ago learned that if a forum for taking about guitars starts to wind you up (as it has done with me in the past) then a self-imposed avoidance of Off Topic fixes that right smart.

I don't think it was the referendum as much but the condescending, arrogant, belittling and intolerant attitudes of the vocal majority who probably usually class themselves as progressive liberals, but whose thin veil of tolerance soon disappeared and we learnt that their were actually closer to national socialism.  Which is probably why, when the vocal minority and the real majority spoke in the referendum, they went into frenzied full on ethnic cleansing mode.

That said, you are always on a hiding to nothing with politics, it doesn't mean nothing, it's a load of bollocks. 

I think for me personally I'm gonna get back to guitars and learn this thumb bassline for the Gael until I can play it with my eyes closed for starters.  I haven't played electric in over two months and I only picked up the acoustic two days ago.  It's sad because it's something that is great spiritual distraction from all these questions no one has the answers for.

seems like overkill to stop popping in here because of one topic or a couple of people.

The politics threads were mental though, I only read/posted as otherwise I'd have had to do some work.

I agree. I just couldn't read the political threads from both sides so I just ignored them. 

Just so much easier than getting pissed off at everything.

I actually like telecasters, I was just awe inspired by the intolerance of the speculation.  The sooner we treat each other like dpgs on acid, the closer to the truth we might stumble,.
