I like any that are actually good, will never watch for the sake of it. Some favourites:

    It Follows
    The Shining
The ring (US version by Gore Verbinski)
    Kill List
    The Descent
    The Pact

The descent is the last film that genuinely had made me jump. Great film. Didn't sleep well after it ;)

I prefer the more subtle horror movies like others. I can't enjoy gore fest films at all. Much prefer some of he older classics like Halloween, The Fog, The thing etc.

    Carpenter is a legend.

Seems to be getting the credit he always deserved in recent times but I am completely sick of people ripping of his work for soundtracks; it's tiresome and lazy.  It's not a 'tribute' but a cheap and uninspired rip off.

  • I used to watch horror films with my grandad when I was young!

I thought the conjuring films were well done.

Agree a lot of horror is pants but the good 30% is really good. Nothing like it.

Both Let The Right One In and Let Me In are on TV tonight.  That's pretty good, although unfortunately they overlap.

Sorry, I know most of you probably have Netflix or something and can watch things whenever you like.

I love horror films, until I need a piss at 3am....like fuck am I going through the house.

Films like insidious 2 or woman in black scare me shitless at night

I don't need no creepy women in my house at night !
    Miso .... soup ;)

I really like the Hellraiser series. I really like Ringu, Juon, and a variety of Japanese horror movies. Audition is creepy as fuckkkkkk

Ringu and the audition fucked me up bad.

I really like creepy thrillers like Oldboy, too. I saw the devil is decent.

    Insidious was total shit.

Del Toro has some dark twisted fairytale stories that are pretty good.

It's not really a horror, but I loved Cabin in the woods.
They took a tired format, and did something superb with it.

I'd not heard of it before seeing it, no spoilers, so was taken by surprise when the good stuff happened.

    A fine film.

John Carpenter is hit or miss for me. The Fog bored me to tears.

If if you like creepy Asian horror, Dark Water is worth a watch. Shutter and The Host are also worth watching.

And The Eye.  And my favourite, Tale of Two Sisters.
