George Harrison's solo on Roll Over Beethoven was a jaw dropping moment and I had to learn it note for note.
A bit later I heard Clapton with Cream and my jaw dropped again when I realised that he was playing maybe 20 phrases over and over again......but not in the same order.....which made him sound like Miles Davis to the casual listener. I was having some of that!
There was no single moment that made me pick up, just being around great music that my older Brother played, then he took up guitar and I bounced on the back of it.
And later on, a lot of Queen and Def Leppard in about 1989 got me playing it properly.
