I think they have a special spray that strengthens the headstock / neck joint.

If it has a Floyd Rose, you should hang it by it's neck until it is dead. If it has a Bigsby, you should hang it by it's neck until it's nearly dead and then laugh at it whilst it suffers it's last agonising moments.

Yes hang it by it's neck, take off the pick guard and get a load of Strats to gather round and laugh at it as its fat heavy swollen bloaty body dangles naked.

my 8lb 13oz R8 hangs on a String Swing proudly on display for all to see, last time I checked it still had it's head. Should it fall it would surely destroy my Line 6 Helix below it and fall through the floor of the house opening up a cavernous sink hole leading to the creation of a black hole that would suck in all matter from our solar system.

and it would still be in tune.

Never been into all that hanging of guitars up on walls. Why would you suspend something so expensive by a couple of screws and plugs? A friend of mine liked to do that....till his brand new 10th Anniversary PRS fell crashing to the floor......cost him a small fortune to have it repaired but it was so good a job that I noticed when the PRS dealer sold it for him a few years later they failed to mention the repair in their advert!! Nice.

I don't believe in capital punishment. There's always the possibility new evidence might come to light proving its innocence and making the initial conviction unsafe.  Of course if its a Chibson, just hang the bastard!!

I wouldn't either. Mine are only held up by one screw each .

Each one is 3" long and 1/4" diameter, and goes 2" into the solid brickwork.

I'm quite certain I could hang my own weight from them without the screw coming out of the wall, if ever I feel like doing some strange kind of gymnastic exercise...

I know I'm not very big and heavy, but I've yet to find even a late-Norlin Les Paul Custom that weighs as much as I do .
