@photek is local to you and can also sought this no problem. Actually a pretty common problem, even on historic/vos guitars. Generally the fifth fret though for some reason.

I had the same problem on my Les Paul recently, which was just over 2 years old.  I'm sure a good guitar repair place can sort it out. I happened to take mine to Charlie Chandlers Guitar Experience who did a good fix.
    It's not a competition.

If its a celluloid one a little bit of acetone underneath it will stick it down

And perhaps stop massaging the lemon oil in quite so vigourously every six months, especially as you say you don't play it that much.

That stuff can creep in everywhere, including under a tiny gap around a fretboard inlay.

A few tacks and a small hammer should sort it out....

The nearest authorised Gibson warranty repair guy to you is - http://davefarmiloe.com/ - looks like a 30ish minute drive from Peterborough.

If you're the original buyer, then you should still be covered.

Thank God.  Someone answered the original question.

You must take it back to the shop first I think as that is who the contract is witj and they will get approval to have it officially repaired, or not.

Or that's mu understanding anyway.  Gibson may not honour their lifetime warranty if you didn't complete the registration document as they may be a term of the lifetime aspect of it.

Even if under warranty still, given how much a tech will cost to fix it I would still rather do this than go down the warranty route - Gibson will have to authorise it and it could take weeks, if not months before it even sees the repair guy.. then there's the wait time for that..

It's about a 60 quid job by a decent tech. Nothing worth panic.
