Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
I very nearly turned down an invitation to visit a landmark building closed to the general public last year, and as somebody said to me, you might never get another chance, and as much as you think it's a waste of money, if you don't go, somebody else will, so you may as well make the most of it.
The result being I can now say I've stood leaning against a window with a free beer in hand, and seen a 360degree view of London. Food there was average though, but the free meal, beer, and hotel stay courtesy of FlyMaybe was better.
I'm extremely antisocial too, but I'm at my worst worst in some horrible dark place with loud shitty music where you're expected to show what a fucking laugh-a-minute party animal you are. A nice daytime event where all you have to do is be polite and chat a bit? Piece of piss.
Nice food, nice people.
Offset "(Emp) - a little heavy on the hyperbole."
For us, it was okay,20 minutes commute into London Victoria, taxi to the Palace... yeah...
Well, it was my Nan, she got the invite to meet The Prince/Prince Harry at one...
Of course she wanted to go/it was her day, being honoured for her service in WWII by the Not Forgotten Society and she requested I helped her get there, so I did, made sure she had her day/her fun.
It was alright, she was happy.
Slightly different attire...
My wife, on the other hand, is quite the royalist. She loves the parasitic gimps.
that was straight after seeing Basic Instinct so was a while ago.
