The Price of Crisps

What's Hot
...no, not a remake of the Bryan Ferry classic, but a serious recognition at the silliness that has become crisp content (or lack thereof) per bag.

I have recently been taken to buying Sainsbury's own brand Onion Rings and was dismayed at the porosity of the contents. Turns out there are only 12 rings per bag with no shards. In a multi pack of 6 this equates to each ring costing 12p ea

So, if you saw a bowl of rings on a counter and decided to pop one in your mouth only to be asked for 12p - - would you??

I think if you re-arrange the contents slightly differently from the packet illustration and nibble bits off one or two you can make them spell 'Brexit'...

I think I'd have bigger problems than being charged 12p.

    The "porosity"?

What are you doing with them that their porosity becomes an issue for you?

    Yes.

Grown-ups, on the other hand, are too busy looking down on anyone who doesn't meet their boring standards.

Void Fraction is a pretty good band name.

Something with chugga-chugga in places and electro bleeps in others.

    OK.

    I have learned today.

I assumed you were complaining about them being porous, whereas there's clearly a paucity of rings  in the bag.

Chip sticks are still the best value crisps.  A 39p bag actually gives quite a decent portion

To be fair, the packet only shows 8 so they could argue that they're giving you 50% extra free.
