Hardware ... the DSI Prophet is a good option.
There is also talk of the CS-80 making a return:

Not saying they can't get great sounds. Just isn't where my brain goes for this kind of thing.
You want a synth that has various digital waveforms, multiple oscillators, polyphony, modulation envelopes and LFO's, and dare I say it ... built-in effects!
Maybe look at the Virus TI, Korg MS-2000, and Behringher Deepmind 6/12.
Think I'll be ok for effects! About the only thing I have right with it all! Haha.
You're pretty much spot on with the Arturia stuff, that is great. And yep, the Moog hasn't got me where I want, so far. So maybe I need to be looking at a good poly.
I saw that link for the Yam, theres a lot of excitement about that, would be very cool!
Thanks all, for your suggestions so far!

Novation Peak or a Summit (would be nice). Has all the digital stuff mentioned above and could be the winner!

Softsynth versions of both DX7 and CS80 would get you everything you want and it's currently on offer - https://www.arturia.com/black-friday-19#en
I’ve found it’s tactile enough and quick to dial in, and sounds just as good as any hardware without any of the faff.
I do have a Korg ARP oddy though because I love Arps.
I need to detach my tools from the PC, and that's the mission I've been on for a while now.
Diva and Monark are two of my absolute favourites though, as is the Komplete Kontrol stuff, superb. Thanks, I'd recommend them too!

GAS being what it is I seem to pretty much want to buy every mono out there, without being able to put my finger on what features are important to me or what I actually want to do with it!

Football is rubbish.
If the mini brute 2 had patch memory like the bass station 2 I'd prob have gone for that.
I might try a Boog or neutron as a start and see if I find a use for them.
