Good evening... Just joined, so here's the 'essentials' asked for...
Q1: My User Name has been with me for many decades, and reflects the name I'm most often addressed with by family members (Dad...), followed by a country code (33=France...), then a 'County' code (53=Mayenne...).
Q2: Answered above, really. I'm British (born Norfolk, but no-one is perfect, then Bedfont and Shepperton for many years...); I moved to France in '75, to play music (I'm a drummer...).
Q3: Too late for any ambition at all; I've done (very modestly...) just about everything I thought myself capable of, and enjoyed it all. Retired, now (and old...). Main ambition is, every year, to see the year out, and then some...
Q4: Best gear..? Without a doubt: my drums. A Camco set (they became DW in essence...) bought new in '73/4, which have served me well all this time. Paiste/Sabian cymbals for the most part, with an odd Meinl in there somewhere.
Q5: No masterpieces, but I do contribute regularly to a Composition Challenge on another Forum, so have a fair number of pieces on Soundcloud, of very varied nature. Listen to them at your peril; you have been warned..!
I have just joined but, as I am not too good at this kind of technology< it has taken a time for me to find out where to put my intro. Let's hope this is the right place.
