Can you guess which one i purchased? haha
This thing is amazing! Its ticked all the boxes for me and Fender have really set the bar high with these amps.
But, can you hook up both channels and get a very nice sound with this new DSP model like you can on the old valve models?

I've just tried jumping the channels - pedal board into normal 1 - normal 2 into vibro 1. I didn't know that was a thing and didn't think it could improve what I had. I have to say wow. Spent all morning playing while smiling, it's a fantastic sound with or without pedals.
I've no idea if it sounds exactly like a vintage or DRRI in any configuration, I just know I like it and it does what I want, and to me sounds how I hear a DR sounding on various recordings. I can't ask more than that!
So I like my TMDR (with firmware update) with my SG going straight into vibro 1 with - vol 6.5 treble 6 bass 2.5 reverb 2.5 which gives me a nice crunch when guitar is at 8 and roll up for a lead tone. Been really quite happy there, it's nice and chewy but still got enough definition. I'm running it all the way attenuated down because up at that volume it's bloody loud otherwise!!
So I've had a go at jumping, moved to normal 1 and ran a lead from normal 2 to vibro 1 and set the normal settings to vol 6.5 treble 6 bass 2.5 and it's an interesting result. Tightened it up and focused the sound a lot more but not sure if it isn't losing part of the charm for me. Further fiddling required to see if can find something I better prefer but we're also at the point of too many knobs for me!
To find out, if you set both channels to the same settings when they're jumpered, then turn the second channel volume up and down, do you get a 'null point' where the sound drops out a long way? If so they're out of phase. It's not really an issue on the originals because the point of jumpering the channels is usually to set them differently, or use the Vibrato channel as a reverb and tremolo sidechain with the main sound via the Normal channel.

That's good, it means they've been pretty thorough about modelling the original amp.

I'm running the normal channel at just under 5 into the vibro channel at 4.5 (goes null at 4) treble at just over 6 on both sides and bass just over 2 both sides. I like a swampy reverb, so running at 4. The attenuator is on 0.5w otherwise the roof shakes!
It does seem they've paid attention to the design of these. If Leo had had this technology I've no doubt he would have used it. For me it's only about longevity/reliability now, any minor sound issues purists have will likely be addressed in no time at all now. Fantastic bit of kit.
i have just updated the reverb and bright cap removed. Will have a day of testing tomorrow
just had the chance to play at 22w volume 5.5. Sounded amazing! Not tried it with pedals yet but with the attenuater you could easily just use guitar volume to clean up.
who else who owns one loves the break up tone this has? I have never been massive fan of black face break up but this is great!
