Currently listening to Dana Gavanski - Yesterday is Gone. I love this, her voice is very Nico-esque. Trouble is a fantastic track!
Face melting instrumental guitar not my usual thing but a bit of Julien Lacharme who is a French ( I think) session musician who plays gypsy jazz and country and rock and tours with reggae artist Alpha Blondy. But he is a big Satriani nut so his solo stuff is more like that.
Blondy is household name level in many parts of the world, top ten albums and massive gigs but just cult level status in the UK. He sings in English, French and Hebrew as well as Arabic and Dioula ( had to look that up, traditional African language of the Ivory Coast) and incorporates a lot of non reggae elements from traditional African instruments to a bit of Hendrix...
