The amazing soloing, right before or during the lesson, FFs , 'listen to my amazing soloing, aaaah, now , lets show you how to play that simple one chord song'.

I think it would have been great if the A part just kept going on and on for the entire video, but slowly the beard gets longer and wider, eventually covering the entire shot.

I don't think that's very difficult at all.......just a load of Pentatonic cliches nicely played...hardest bit is probably keeping the harmonics nicely clipped and hand damped

Shows what a great guitarist and song writer Billy Gibbons really is. It sounds such a deceptively simple riff but it’s a real bugger to play properly. I can just about manage a half mangled version, but it’s really nothing like the original.

I spent the the brief period of time I spent on the first video wondering if I was looking at his beard or his hair.

I’d say (as someone who used to mangle it), played in isolation the solo isn’t impossible but getting the groove/feel right in a band context is hard as it can sound very wooden unless you play slightly behind the beat. Well to my ears anyway

I managed to see past the incredible soloing and learn the riff, the transition from fingers to pick is fluffy and timing is everywhere so I need to work on it, my thumb picking on the upstroak needs work, but opening a tutorial in which the teacher solo's the shit out of it was a little daunting.

The solo sounds like its not of this song but its being played anyway.

Always like Billy's economy of motion. He's not running all over the fretboard but the result is just so cool.
Old, overweight and badly maintained. Unlike my amps which are just old and overweight.

Anyone spot and ID that pedal on Billy's Super Fifty-Nine? Timmy?

Interesting I didn't know Dusty also played through a Magnatone. I wonder if it was customised for bass?

    Legends, all of them.

One thing about the first vid player that makes him sound so profficient is that he has a very nice touch on the vibrato

What they not taking into account is the special Billy Gibbons tuning... he doesn't struggle like they do in standard!

    Turn A down to G
