  • those cornish pedals look massive. Its like 3 tonka trucks next to some matchbox cars
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

When you get to my age you need pedals that size just to get a font that you can read.

And yes, the Cornish switcher has made quite a difference in terms of any residual noise.

Moved from a PT Jr back to my old homemade board - keeps things simple! The Ditto is purely for home noodling and gets swapped for a mini spark boost for rehearsals and gigs. The ML Jr is new to me and sounds great, replacing my Montavillian for now. Certainly not the most exciting board on this thread but it does the job for me.

  • Those cornish pedals are massive. I don't see why they need to be so big considering what's inside them. They look like the tonka toy of the pedal world.

inside each one is a cheque for the change from your purchase.  Unfortunately if you don't open it and deposit the cheque within six months it's null and void.

Miniaturisation will drive the costs 10 fold than it already is.

  • Behold! The pedalboard I actually use:

The Menatone is my go-to, but I'll also change it for a Wampler Plextortion (everyone raves about the Pinnacle, but I prefer the Plextortion).
