Certainly not me, first was Marillion 1982, I was 19 years old so a bit late starting.

Anyone stretch back as far as mid 70s?

The first gig I went to was The Who supported by The James Gang at Trentham Gardens (Staffordshire) in October 1970. I was 15 at the time.

I much preferred The James Gang and that was the start of me being a fan of Joe Walsh.

    It's not a competition.

It wasn't me... my neighbour took me to see Hawkwind, I think in 1979, so I'd be about 10 years old haha! I got to the front too

  • Not me - I'm a (relatively) young 'un, so my first gig was 1992 - Status Quo at the Cornwall Colliseum at the grand old age of five.

Most of my gig going took place before the mid 70s. I started going to Friars in Aylesbury in the late 60s. There was also a Hyde Park concert with Eric Burden and Canned Heat. I can’t remember which came first. Before that it was just local bands.

Thin Lizzy 18/12/79 with my sister and her friend. Appparently the support was The Vipers although I have no memory of them whatsoever. I think I remember quite a lot about Lizzy but I may have conflated it all with the passage of years.

My first gig was at Belle Vue Manchester in 1973. That's as much as I'm prepared to say.

Missed going to see Thin Lizzy on the Live & Dangerous dates as my parents wouldn't let me (I was 14).

My first gig was Van Halen on the Woman & Children First Tour at The Rainbow Theatre, London in June 1979

I think there were a couple of Iron Maiden and Tygers of Pan Tang gigs at The Marquee that year and then in 1980, I saw Queen at Wembley on the night of John Lennon's death and then a week or so later, it was The Police at Tooting Bec Common with support from Jools Holland and The Millionaires and Tommy Cooper. Yep!
