I always thought that you would award someone a 'Lol' because they'd said something genuinely humorous or funny. I am beginning to realise after all these four years that it's actually the opposite and that it's a mark of ridicule and shame?

It's a mixture of both. Some people think I'm funny, some people think I'm a twat. 

And facepalms should be reinstated. And then upgraded to faceplants for true car crash posts.

I've been here for years and post highly relevant and pertinent comments in all the appropriate places.  I still haven't crossed the magic 1000 points barrier, so yes they are totally useless and should be immediately scrapped.  Or at least reset every so often so we have a  chance to level the playing field.

The earth is clearly not flat so no point looking at that position.  I have therefore taken your advice and posted a oblique comment in a Brexit thread.  Lets see what happens.

This is probably unique among fret-whoring threads, for having spent so long outside of ‘Parody’....
