Rear view is nice too - sculpted neck to body join
Many guitars have a re-sale value. Some you'll never want to sell.

But I would also agree with PRS Mira, though my Vela has a similar feel to my SG also. Just it sounds completely different!

The photo below is one I used to own, with an unusual pickup combination - a shame it's not in their regular lineup. You can see the strat-like body contour, making it very comfortable to play, and the bound body is more substantial than an SG, but it's almost as light, being made of Korina. Looks-wise, IMHO, it's better looking when being played than when hanging on a wall; something about the offset body shape just seems to work better when it's in use.
I was impressed enough by this one, I immediately ordered a Spacehawk, which is currently one of my favourites. And since selling the Sensei, I've bough a Manta Ray, so I certainly can recommend Reverends - of course, YMMV.
Both are stunning guitars, play superbly and definitely have a very cool look.

Personally I think Vs and Explorers sound kind of similar to SGs and have different body shapes. The Reverends mentioned (sensei, bob balch) can sound similar but are similar sizes, though the Spacehawk also mentioned is bigger (and doesn’t sound like an SG either...). ESP vipers have a thicker body and different neck but sound more Les Paul like to me. Guild S series and Gretsch Corvettes are basically SGs anyway.
I have heard teles that get a bit of SG bark with the right pickup (and ideally with a Bigsby and the Tele Bigsby bridge to add some heft). I have a set neck Probett Rocket that sits somewhere between strat and SG with a strat style body and set neck.
WI46, I think is one..

One big difference with SGs is how far out the neck is set (apart from some Norlin models from the 70s & 80s). This is enough to make them feel quite different to other guitars with similar proportions.
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
