It's only £1,500.

As a stop-gap until the right car comes along perhaps.....

The only thing is, I haven't really ridden for thirty-two years.

Which means I'm seeing this photo against the background of blue flashing lights, a gathered crowd of onlookers and  a paramedic shouting "CLEAR!"....

Get Abarth 500 or something ?

You can get them easily for under £6k now.  It's interesting, it is petrol, it sits 4 people (at a push) and visibility is not bad in them.

Fiat 500, it has more history than that Honda Jazz!

Abarth is a racing team or used to be, now they just tune cars (Fiat) and sell them.  It's certainly more interesting than a Honda Jazz.

Just ask Clarkson.

I'm with Ray on this one. A Fiat 500 Abarth is a brilliant suggestion and not hideous at all.

It doesn’t look good in white. The guitarist in my band has a black one, much nicer. But it is very small...

I'm not getting one of those !!  I'm edging back towards the 1 Series convertible... or I would be if the local one wasn't overpriced.

Still giving some thought to the CBR1000 though...

It's fun, it is cheap, its good to drive.  It ticks all the boxes, I'd love one.

1 series convertible you will be paying for the badge, but please get a petrol.

You can get four midgets in them, our singer has one. She's 4'11" and has her seat all the way forward, and here's me and my missus sat behind her. 

Visibility is excellent, especially when I drive it, though goggles would be a bonus...

Why a convertible? You’re paying a premium for a gimmick that you’ll be able to use about two days in the year. I’d expect the insurance to be higher too, they’re less secure and more attractive to toerags.
