I use the Grolsh type myself.
I had a pair of the Dunlops and one of the rings snapped.

Shoot 7 or 8 of those suckers into the strap and body and it ain't going anywhere.
Might be a fashion statement as much as to secure the guitar.
As for "when am I ready?" You'll never be ready. It works in reverse, you become ready by doing it. - pmbomb
And if one doesn't like beer, Fender make them:

But at €4.50 for four I can easily get four more-than-decent half-litre bottles of beer...
Or colour-match your guitar hardware from this sort of place:

It doesn't fit in the case with the strap on either, so I switched to Schaller straplocks seven years ago and they've been excellent.

We'll have a strap-off.
They can't touch you for it.

Now that Grolsch is unavailable in the UK, anyone know of an alternative supply of proper rubber washers? that preferably come with beer?![:) :)](/plugins/EmojiExtender/emoji/fb/1.gif)
I looked at beer washers on Amazon & ebay but the holes sizes/thickness vary, really can't be arsed bothering, would rather buy something I know works.
Anyone tried the washers off Flensburger Gold?

These work perfectly.
Been uploading old tracks I recorded ages ago and hopefully some new noodles here.
