    Cats. Just now. Truly awful.
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it

    Police Academy.
I did not walk out because I was 12 and I wasn't allowed to leave the cinema without my parents.

Why? Did you lose a bet? Did you want to see how bad it really was?

Not my choice. Mrs9000 wanted to see it.

  • Carry on Columbus is the only film I ever walked out on. I'm generally so stingy I won't leave something I've paid for but that was the exception.

The better answer - I was expecting a film about Miles Davis and friends.

What I mostly like about Kermode is that he used to present Buzzcocks and I member him from that
    Wasn't that Mark Lamarr?

Kermode used to be in the Railtown Bottlers, I remember them appearing on telly when Danny Baker had his chat show.

    That was decades ago.

Armageddon and Cruel Intentions. Both dire films. I couldn’t walk out as I was with people and was relying on a lift home.

I did walk out of My Little Eye but only because my GF at the time found it too extreme to watch.

I've walked out of a number of films. Paddington 2 was possibly the last.  That wasn't helped by people chatting, shining their phones and other anti-social behaviour but I wasn't liking the film either.  Love and Friendship another fairly recent one, supposed to be a fresh take on Jane Austen but IMO forced and silly.  What We Do In The Shadows, a mockumentary vampire film that looked like it was made by a bunch of undergraduates who were approximately one tenth as clever, interesting or original as they thought they were.

All these films were really well reviewed, the moral being beware of trendy critics.

But I think Dangerous Liaisons may be the winner, as I managed to walk out of the play and the film. Never attempted the book.
