Favourite Guitar and Amp tone...

What's Hot
The first time i played with a tele through a Vox ac30 was magical...

Recently ive been playing through S Gear Plugin. My les paul with the tweed model sounds great.

Whats your favourite amp and guitar setup?

My Les Paul through my Victory Sheriff stuns me every practice. I always take an extra moment while everyone goes for a cig/tea break cause it's glorious.

Rickenbacker through a Mesa Dual Rectifier.

    That isn’t a joke :).

  • Lately, this:

Straight into this (as in minus any pedals aside from the GE-7 for mid-boosted solos - it gets very loud though):

I've just played a vintage vox ac30 and that really has left an impression, LP humbucker and p90 both sounded utterly superb, now I want that amp, just haven't got £3.5k handy

Stuck record time...My Les Paul with OX4 pickups through a Marshall JTM45 and 4x12 cab with Greenbacks. Normally swamped in reverb using a ‘63 FRV-1 pedal.
Tomorrow will be a good day.

I play r8 through Vox. Add a hotcake, a bit of delay, a naga viper now and again and it's pure sex.

22w head with matching cab. LP has BKP Emeralds. It's perfect!

My Les Paul with a low wind Firebird bridge pickup into my 1964 Watkins Westminster.

It's messy as hell, but in a good way. :)

1963 Guild Capri with original Franz pickups into the Tone King Falcon Grande with a touch the Jr Barnyard pedal. Instant early '50's. Or something like that.

  • John Renbourne playing a Gibson ES335, neck pickup, through, I think, a Vox AC30.  It was in about 1976 and been chasing that tone ever since...

I play my the Paul through a Westminster (not a '64 mind!) and a clubman.

    Or...strat into a dominator.
