    Right now, this.

But I’m a fickle sod, so it’ll be something else within a fortnight, most likely.

For a few months now, this has been the one I walk from one end of the house to the other to pick up:

Just spent the last 5 minutes staring at this photo. Love both the guitar and the case 3 .

My current fave is this one: [

For playing live with the band, it's got to be my modded Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster (the upper on in the photo)

Needless to say, I'm not doing anything live at the minute :(
Therefore my #1 couch guitar at the minute is my last acquisition, an Epiphone Les Paul Special DC

My Les Paul Classic.I put a set of Bare Knuckle Emeralds and it's everything I could want a Les Paul to sound like. Definitely my most comfortable guitar as well.

Apologies for the overly large image, I don't seem to have the option to resize.

Probably this one, woodwork by our Graham. The Les Paul Special has always been my favourite guitar and I've had four Gibsons, including a Custom Shop model, none of which were as good as this.

TTony said: The binding on that Tele-esque really adds something - and the lack of control plate & bridge plate makes it look neater to my eye too.
Thanks. The objective behind losing the plates is to save weight. The body also has a wedge shaped cross section to minimise weight. Thin at the top, and deep enough for a double track five way switch at the bottom. The binding is purely functional. I’d prefer a Strat-like round over, but binding strengthens the edge.

How did you achieve your faded blue finish? I’d like to do that.

The red one above has quickly become my number one. It plays and sounds fantastic and I find myself enjoying playing all styles on it.
Previous to it the musicman on the right was my number one and it’s certainly the one one I still feel the most comfortable with but the red one just speaks to me.

Currently this - a 1963 Guild Capri with what must be the last of the original Franz pickups, but a couple of others are vying for top spot at the moment!

Stunning. I have a 1959 X50 in natural. Those Franz pickups are outstanding.

My 1984 Aria RS Standard. It should be the one that was my first ever electric guitar, but unfortunately I modded that beyond repair in the late 80s/early 90s, so I had to spend the best part of 20 years looking for a replacement... which is so identical I often forget it isn't actually the same guitar.

I have now slightly modded this one too, but only in a fully reversible way!

Many, many other guitars have come and gone, but this one is *my* guitar.
