Alternating between these three depending on my mood.

    Blackmachine B6
    James Tyler Studio Elite
    Feline Lion

    Nice to have the choice...

My #1 guitar used to be a clone of former Byrds guitarist, Clarence White's, original B-Bender Telecaster that Marty Stuart now owns but....after this month, it will be an original 1968 paisley TelecasterThe mind-blowing thing about this guitar is the fact that no money will change hands.....it will be given to me!  I'll post pics when I get the guitar.

Still the Troublemaker. It's a lot more dinged up now & the plastic has pretty much cracked everywhere, but that Modern-C neck is just a joy to play.

Cheers :+1: I really like the painted top with a binding & naked back/sides, so much so that, if I ever decided to get a guitar custom made, I'd likely have a standard telecaster with that sort of finish.

There's two that I keep reaching for, both being Jazzmasters.

First is the white one, which is an '86 MIJ that I bought in '91 or '92. It has a set of Mojo pickups and has a Staytrem bridge.

The other one that gets used a huge amount is the Daphne Blue one, which is a 2008 "Thin Skin" that I bought brand new at the tail end of that year. This one is completely stock, though I will get a set of Mojos for it if there's ever a bloody moment when I'm not skint!

I bloomin' love those two guitars.
My wife asked me to stop singing Wonderwall.
    I said maybe.....

Thanks. The objective behind losing the plates is to save weight. The body also has a wedge shaped cross section to minimise weight. Thin at the top, and deep enough for a double track five way switch at the bottom. The binding is purely functional. I’d prefer a Strat-like round over, but binding strengthens the edge.

How did you achieve your faded blue finish? I’d like to do that.
Apologies @Roland - just taking a break from Covid world and catching up with this thread.

It's not actually a self-build, so I can take no credit at all for any of it.

However, I've used a similar technique on other builds, and I've got some in-build pics of how it was done on my #1 ...

    Apply finish to guitar;

Rub finish back to barely-there ...

    Add top coat

This one is and has been my favourite for a while. Love the neck on it. Hoping to add another competitor soon to the collection. Not sure what yet. Gibson 59 or a prs are the top candidates.
Nice @johnw84 - and I recognise what it is too!!

A Martin booth signature. Astounding build, light, comfortable, ergonomic . The man is an artist.

Expensive yes but worth it all the way. I’ll never sell it. I’ll be buried with it although that does sound like a waste  ;)

61 reissue 335 that I bought in Feb 2019 in the Guitar Guitar blowout sale.  Absolutely brilliant guitar.  I'm even toying with the idea of selling the Les Paul in my avatar that I bought in the big Les Paul blowout 6 months earlier.  I just play this one more.

This might be superseded by my 62 AVRI Strat once it has had a refret.  I'm not playing that much at the moment though because the frets need doing.

Thank you.  I do rather love it too.  It’s the Tele that finally got me to “get” Teles.  It’s one of those initial Danish Pete ones they did at Andertons which when they came out I thought had set the standard/limit for ridiculous pricing and marketing gimmickery.  I got it in a trade and have never looked back.  Just great all round.
