Bands that give you the creeps?

I'd never consciously thought of this before but I recently became aware that James, or more accurately, Tim Booth makes me feel uncomfortable. Dunno why - he just gives me the creeps. I don't even need to see him, his voice on the radio is enough.

    Miley Cyrus

    Radiohead

any number of "boy/girl (manufactured) bands"

Mostly though if a band/musician/singerist creeps me out, I avoid listening to them.

Space is insufficient. Let's just say most of the pop/disco/funk/punk/NewRomantic/"R'n'B"/*-Metal/Rap/HipHop/BoyBand/GirlBand acts since the early 1970s

I know what the OP means about Tim Booth...although I do actually like James and Booth is a captivating frontman. Great live band...but I don't have any wish to meet the guy.

Tim Booth was excellent as serial killer Victor Zasz in Batman Begins :)

For me it's most prog and metal bands - generally any that take themselves too seriously

Nick Cave. I know that's part of the plan... :) I can't listen when Mrs Mudslide is around because she says it's too creepy.

Any band where the singer is shouting like they're in pain or have totally lost the plot. This rules out a lot of heavier music I would possibly otherwise like, I know. (Just picked up an album at random the other day from a band which falls into this category - Atreyu.)

I like James though, I don't get that at all.

For the record I always found Rolf Harris slightly creepy too, but never suspected anything more than that...

A lot of 80's acts seemed to go out of their way to be creepy.  Culture Club, Fad Gadget, and then there's Marilyn Manson.  I like some of Ian Drurys music but the man is a little creepy.
