There’s some great stuff from my yob, 1954. Originals of A Star is Born and Godzilla, plus On the Waterfront, Caine Mutiny, Dial M for Murder and Rear Window. Has to be Creature from the Black Lagoon for me though. An absolute classic

Being pedantic (sorry!) the original A Star is Born was 1937, with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March.  You've got some good films there though.
