Do Fender Strat/Tele comes with the ashtray these days

I am just curious.  

Do they?  Because all the photos I've seen they are photographed with them off, not just Standard, but from the bottom Squire to the Masterbuild including relic or NOS.  Do they come with the Ashtray these days?

AV certainly do - not sure about the AO...I'd imagine they also would

I got the equivalent Rickenbacker one thrown in with my 620, but they also dont include them as standard. Suffice to say it's not coming out the case.

The Custom Shop Strats I have owned have come with them.

My Original 59’s Strat came with one....its in the case...lonely

My AO '50s Tele came with the ashtray. If I smoked I might have some use for it.

Both Strat and Telecaster original design has a removable cover for the bridge.  Back in the day people smoke a lot and these were/are used as ashtrays.

I had one of those which came with my 660/12 (I think)... I never used it, since it didn't look strong enough to hold up anything much heaver than a ukelele. I gave it to a friend to go with his 'George Harrison' 360/12, with a suitable warning that it was really for display purposes only .

They’re bloody uncomfortable to wear if nothing else - shoulder pad always ends up in the wrong place.
