Toyota got kicked in the nuts a few years ago for the same sort of cock-up. But Musk/Tesla fanbois are a significant factor in the share price, so who knows when it is more realistically valued.

I think Tesla is massively overvalued with a an unstable CEO and a market eroded by massive price under-cutting Asian EVs.

For me, it was his "paedo guy" comments that seemed the biggest departure from normal behaviour
