I’m sure that will be a fantastic guitar, Ibanez just don’t make anything else. Still showing a little stock in Brum too.
I didn’t get one in the end, but a 335 style Guitar will be what I get next (Epiphone Casino/Ibanez AS73/Hagstrom Viking or something similar)
Often find myself looking at the Eastmans when online, but VFM & just playing at home for my own enjoyment those ^ look hard to beat.

Thats high praise that he prefers it over his PRS. I wonder what model it was, as there are a few that look quite similar and RRP prices are between £350-£2000-ish

I’m gonna resist the temptation for now!
@duotone he got it used for like £125 lol he's gutted but he says it's the one that sounds the best in his band. They're punk sort of I think. Semi hollows are really good for rock music if you can control the feedback, it might be the construction more than anything. And he did change the pickups, it's possible that they're just voiced really well for that particular guitar

I’ve just had an e-mail from them promoting this sale. Click on the guitar section and all the items discussed here that have previously sold many times are STILL on the website.

Absolutely shocking way for a company of this size to run a business.

Just bought the used Brad Paisley Tele. Very excited!

    Did you click into them?

They were showing as out of stock for me when I looked.

  • I’d love to know if anyone here got that MkV, that was an incredible price!
0reaction image LOL 0reaction image Wow! 0reaction image Wisdom
  • @guitargeek62 I'm skeptical as to whether that was ever available....seems odd that they'd price it half of what a reasonable second hand price might be?

Did you see it for sale too?

  • @Jetfire weirdly it was the one bit of stock which they showed as not available?

  • To be fair, it actually looks like a proper sale. Better than the token "mega deal" of £4 off a £2000 guitar.
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

Aka the boss gone mad sale
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

  • There was also a Mesa Transatlantic (I think TA15) for £299 in the Brum store, I'd bet it's gone now though
I'm scared and I'm waiting for life

Haha well I remember they used to actually have decent deals. I was thinking about a store a bit more to the east of England....

Does anyone think the staff get first dibs on the good deals? I've often wondered.

Heh probably. Most retailers probs allow a certain amount.

Where I was at we could as long as we bought it on the day/depending on the thing was dependant on whether we got staff disq on top.

I cant hold too many grudges though, its a shit business to be in having done it myself.

  • Does anyone know how much the BP Teles were in the end? Been looking out for one for a while. Not that I have a chance of getting one now!

Got my Jem from PMT and service was good. They had the best price in the UK at that time by 2 or 3 hundred. Good experience in the Birmingham store previously too.
