2020 started and ended with 2009 classic player 60s strat. It needed a bit of work on it due to previous owner tinkering a bit too much at home with it. So had to fork out for repair. 

2021 has the priority of getting an ibanez RG550 desert yellow and sell my Tokai to fund a 90s/00s Gibson explorer.

I feel this has been a really good year for focussing what I want in my rig, brushing away the stuff that is there because it’s been accumulated with time and getting to the heart of the sound I want coming back at me.

It's been a quiet year gear wise, mainly because I'm very happy with the gear I've got, and don't seem to get GAS much these days. But I was hankering after an SG with P90s, and had considered fitting a Maestro to my 2016 SG Standard, plus I've always, always wanted a Custom. So when GAK had money off a P90 and Maestro equipped Custom (I'd never seen such a thing before), it did cause a GAS crisis. But a trade for my SG Supreme turned out well, they'd gone up more than I'd imagined.

Traded my SG Supreme from 2016.

Is there anything you regret? 
No.

No, I'm pretty much happy with all my guitars right now.

Has COVID completely changed your outlook on gear 
My outlook on gear is one of the few things COVID seems to have had zero impact on.

Just done my 2019/20 tax return and my spreadsheet shows that, in addition to the stuff already listed here, in February I sold ‘3x drive pedals’ on eBay. I’m pretty sure one of them was a Digitech Hardwire Valve Distortion but I’m blowed if I can remember what the others were!

I’m hoping that there’s going to be one more guitar incoming before the end of the year though, but I’m just waiting on a few things before that happens

I dithered over an oval hole Hagstrom Jimmy (one of the few remaining bucket list guitars other than Euromillions win ones) - I snoozed, and I lost 

Doesn't feel like much, there's been a lot of unrequited GAS this year due to lockdown - Reverb is a dangerous place !!!!!!

Desperate to get back to gigging again though, can’t come soon enough for me.

Get competent enough to justify another guitar. And if the year happens to be 120 months long, like 2020 felt, maybe get competent enough to justify the 2i2

Thanks. It is indeed. Very well made and finished. Great playing neck and fretwork. Nice polished ebony fretboard. Very much considering a T64v and/ or AR372CE too as I’ve been playing 90% jazz lately.

Eastmans arn’t necessarily cheap but hard to fault for the cash.
