3 were crap for QC.. damn shame as I really badly wanted one.. looks like I wont be getting another chance either.

Quite surprised about this. I guess there’ll be a new version of his spider guitar, and some sort of V.

He’s mostly a superstrat guy though isn’t he… do we think they’ll be wheeling out a Kramer for him, like they’ve done with Dave Mustaine?

His late 70s black Flying V is the most obvious one. I suspect a USA version and limited, relic custom shop too. Could be tempted actually.

His limited edition ESP Ouiji’s were £15k. 

I feel like I should buy a demonology or 602 but I’m not sure on the price considering its Pau Ferro now.. I know, I know… I just like Ebony..

james was a big Gibson guy and they signed Kirk?

Looking at his instagram it would suggest he's staying with ESP as well as the new partnership with Gibson.

Which is a shame as a new super s-type shred machine with Gibson on the headstock could have been potentially awesome and a bit different.

Good luck on that one. That neck pickup is very odd sounding IMHO (when played clean or low gain). Its not just the out of phase thing - if I was a betting man, I'd stake my savings (about 38p and a bit of pocket fluff) that when measured, it'll have a very different output to *any* PAF.

Not surprising really. The first 3-4 albums were mainly his black V. In more recent years he’s often played a heritage cheery Flying V clone (think it’s ESP). He plays Greenie for a lot of the current live set, a surprising number of tunes actually given the genre!

I remember seeing some rehearsal space video of him playing a single bridge humbucker V. I'd be all over an Epi version of it!
