Bombarded with shite.

This morning, when using The Fretboard for the first time today, I am being bombarded with shit adverts.

When I click on a forum, it imediately opens another page with more adverts.

Please fix!

Forum wouldn't work on my work pc yesterday afternoon, just got malware error messages. Not happened before. Not in the office today but its okay on my android phone.

Did a system restore to a few days earlier and that seems to have sorted the problem.

Shouldn't MS security essentials be picking stuff like this up, though?

Yeah I get that all the time.

I've taken to spinning them out all the way. Then they get to the bit where they talk me throught the "fix" (ie installing their malware) and their first instruction is to press the "Start" button. At which point I go all perplexed and tell them I haven't got one, and ask them to check that this will definitely fix my version of Windows 3.0 as it has been running a bit slow of late.

@RobDavies MS security wont pick that up , I would recommend Malwarebytes (free download) and Ccleaner, again free download, they will clean any suspicious software, try not to rely on restoring as it can get corrupted then you will be stuck.

Its best to clean ya PC using the above software every week that will stop any probs in the future.

Also make sure your anti virus is updated

get Google Chrome browser, and use the Adblock Plus plugin.  Also Privacy Pallet.  Lots of good plugins available to prevent popups, adverts and other nasties
