Ok - malwarebytes installed and run.  Ccleaner installed and run.  Still my Fretboard looks like this:

Any help or advice gratefully received...

if you could list/screenshot from the options/addons(extensions in chrome)

may simply be the case of a crappy toolbar/addons rather than a system wide INFECTION

in general when installing programs/updates always take care to check each install page as you ok it, many programs and freewares are bundled with this kind of crap and you have to make sure to untick them during the install.
they can be quite sneaky in the way they're presented and sometimes hidden under 'advanced' install options.
also if you're installing programs try and make sure that you download it directly from the maker homepage, or from a trustworthy source like filehippo.

@RobDavies From looking at the pic it looks like a dodgy extension, Go into settings in chrome, and disable all extensions let me know if that works....

Spybot / Malwarebytes. It does look like it's an add-on for Chrome though - my dad is always getting this kind of stuff and it's usually something like a "megahothothotdeals" Chrome extension.

Cheers all - really appreciate the help.

I found this something called a Browseri Appe in my extensions, disabled it and it looks like we're back to normal again.....

The LiveJasmine pop up was interesting, though.....    :-O

I got the live Jasmine thing when I first got my lap-top, bloody pcworld staff........

I found going into the programmes and uninstalling the ad wizard (I have no idea where that fucker came from) has sorted mine.

It's happening again.  Even worse than before.  Malwarebytes, CC cleaner, MS Security Essentials and Avast anti virus all running but making no difference whatsoever.

Any advice?
