I only get the one per 24hrs.

 I did today's at about 12 minutes past midnight with an infant in my arms, and my next goes live in 6hrs 50 mins at time of writing.

Also my solution did not have any repeated letters today? @littlegreenman ;

That's what catches me. Often when a letter is repeated, I'm on a 4 or 5. With no repeats I'm usually 3 or 4.

Does seem to be every 12 hours for me yet reading online it says every 24. And is supposed to be the same word every 24 hours. 

May just be further proof of me losing my marbles.

I've restored my batting average a bit today. Got it in two, despite only having 1 letter correct on first go. Happy with that

Anyone noted you can increase the difficulty by forcing having to accept the clues, ie you must put greens where they are shown, and use the oranges on all subsequent words.  Might start trying that from tomorrow, really buggers up my technique

Three days and a 3-3-6, so chuffed with that.

Best starter word?  My nomination would be Audio, with four separate vowels and a common consonant

'Scent' is another if you want to go down the common consonants route, although maybe good for a second line, with the letter E completing the vowels and 10 different letters used.

I’ve found that I’m getting the correct answer quicker if I follow the “Hard” setting of having to accept the clues.  Didn’t expect tgat

I do it the hard setting way without having the setting on. 

I would imagine you would get better results as it forces you to think about your answer more!

That's the way I've always done it - seems easier not harder to me, but then I've been approaching it differently to some of the techniques described here.

I switched my 2 starting words today. Got it in 4. I figured it would be american spellings for applicable words
